We had a good Mother's Day.First we went to church. Then we headed home to pack up our stuff...and Lucy...and head to my Dad's and my Mom's...the kids made their grandma's potted plants with their handprints on it...so we were on a delivery mission.
After that we made our annual mom's day trip out to the ocean.

\Hallie was insistant that she needed a bucket and shovel...so we stopped at a store in Ocean Shores and bought buckets and shovels...for a whopping $17.99...and the kids played with them for approximately 72 seconds.

They LOVED flying their kites. Although Nathan didn't quite get the concept of holding on to the kite. He would get bored and just let go of the string...leaving Russell or I running down the beach to get his kite.
Daddy showing him how to fly the kite
Nathan LOVED this
Ummm...where is Nathan's kite? He JUST had it 2 seconds ago.
Ahhh..here it is...we found it down the beach
Another attempt Hallie decided to make sand angels...she was covered in sand!!

Nathan liked just playing in the sand...throwing it in the air...digging...burying his feet. Hallie loved just throwing it up into the air

They both LOVED the water...even though their toes were turning purple!

Lucy loved running up and down the beach...finding sticks, shells and seaweed...she smelled lovely.
After a few hours we headed home. Hallie insisted she wasn't tired and was just going to rest...not sleep....so this is Hallie "Just Resting"....and Nathan
One minute he was playing with his toes..and 2 seconds later he was sound asleep
And...if you haven't seen enough of our pictures...here's a link to view them all!!!
