White Coat Ceremony

"All of our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them."
Walt Disney

I can remember the series of conversations clearly.  I can remember when I finally convinced Russell to go back to school.  I can remember spending hours at Pierce College trying to get him registered for classes while he was working.  I can remember when I finally said what I had been thinking, "If you want to go to medical school, let's do it."  I remember thinking it was so far away and we both had so much work to do to get there.  I remember wondering if it really would happen.

Today, I remember.  I will forever remember how proud my husband looked in his white coat...and how proud I am to be his wife.  I will forever remember thinking "We really did it!" as we sat through the regalia of the White Coat Ceremony.  I will forever be proud of us...yes, us...for making it to this point.

I'm not even going to try and say the White Coat Ceremony was entertaining and exciting.  That would be lying.  Let's face it...we were there to see my husband put on his white coat for the first time as a student doctor.  Yes, it was neat to see all the head honchos...but not one person in that audience would tell you they were there for any other reason then to see their student put that coat on!

Prepare for picture overload!

Do you see his name? Class of 2017!

Introducing himself

Somehow the shortest faculty member got the job of coating the tallest student!  She's behind him somewhere!

Proud Parents

Proud In-laws

Proud Brother

One super proud family!

He looks good in that white coat, doesn't he?  Or maybe I'm biased!
