It's official....the beginnings of medical school have begun. Well, not the official classes...but the two weeks of lectures, introductions and meetings for Russell. Today, he sat through 8 hours of meeting staff, picking up supplies and learning the inter-workings of the school. Tomorrow he heads off to practice for the White Coat Ceremony (don't worry...pictures to come!), and has a mandatory Ice Cream Social. I wish they had mandatory Ice Cream Social's when I went to school!
He has a few more days of this kinda stuff before a few day break and then the real stuff begins!
He was slightly irritated with me when before he left the house I demanded a photo. He wanted to know if I was going to take a picture every time he put his suit on....hmmmm...I just might! But really, today was the beginning of the next 4 years! It's a big day in my book. He better get used to lots of pictures. Those who know me know I take a ton...plus there is the White Coat Ceremony, the first day of school, and who knows what else I'll come up with to document! The kids get their pictures taken on the porch on their first day of school...so will my husband!
