I met my Dad and Kevin in Portland yesterday to pick up the other 3 pieces of my heart. I missed them so much! They had a blast visiting with their Grandma and Grandpa, Ry Ry, Eagie and Dun Dun.
I missed them a ton...but I also got a ton done in my classroom. It's nice to have family close-ish to steal my kids for a few days! My classroom is starting to actually look like a classroom. I'm hoping to get in there this weekend and get a couple bulletin boards put up and grab some curriculum to bring home so I can start planning.
I have orientation on Monday and then Tuesday-Thursday is full of meetings and trainings. School will start on September 3rd. I still can't believe I got this job! It's crazy! Its not only my first teaching job...but that interview was my first interview too! I'm beyond excited!
Russell has been SUPER busy with school. It's become the norm for him to leave here at 7:30am and not be home until 10pm at the earliest! It's an adjustment for sure...but we are surviving! He has been taking Anatomy and has been learning the back, neck and arms. We even bought a white board and put it up in our dining room! :-) What ever works...and it makes it easier for him to study at home.
This next week will be a learning experience for us all....It will be the first time in 6 years (almost to the day) that I have worked out of our house. And I have a feeling it's going to get really hectic when school starts and we all are up, getting ready, and trying to get out of the house at the same time!
