What A Week!!!

Well...this week is over!  What a crazy, eventful week it has been!

We drove back from Kyle's wedding on Sunday.
I had two interviews scheduled for Tuesday.
Monday night we found out that the kids couldn't go to daycare on Tuesday.
I panicked.  I had interviews!
Russell's dad, Jim, drove down overnight to our house so he could watch the kids on Tuesday for my interviews. (I really do have a great family and great inlaws!)

Interview #1- In Lebanon for their sub pool.  I rocked that interview.  I felt so confident and about 10 minutes into the interview they offered me a spot in their sub pool.

Interview #2- For a full time kindergarten teacher in Sweet Home...1 mile from our house.  I left that interview feeling completely down.  I felt like there were things I should have known that I didn't, and questions I should have answered better.  I drove from that interview to the district office to get put in their sub pool...that shows just how well I thought that interview went.

I'm sitting at home, in my worn out pajama pants, on the couch feeling sorry for myself when my phone rings.  It's less then 2 hours after my interview.  It's the principal.  All I can think is how she is going to tell me that 'they had better qualified candidates.'  Then I hear, "We would like to offer you the kindergarten teacher job if you are still interested.  We think you can do a great job."  I cried.  A lot.  Of course I was still interested!

I hung up the phone and called Margaret (a good friend but also was my mentor teacher)...Russell was still in class so I couldn't call him.  But I got on Facebook messaging everyone!  I was so excited.  When Russell finally called and asked why I called I replied with, "Well, I just wanted to know how it felt to talk to the new kindergarten teacher at Oak Heights?"   He screamed!

What a week....Russell's first week of classes...two interviews for me..and a job offer!
What a great week!
