Well, today marks the end of the first week of Russell's adventure at the University of Washington. This first week, was a good intro into his life as a student, but not a normal week. Normally, he will have class daily, but with this being the first week many instructors canceled the Lab days or canceled the quiz sections for each class. This made him not have to be to class until 1pm on a few days prompting him to drive a couple days. Usually he will take the train and drive on Thursdays so he can work.
Even at the end of this first week, Russell has had lots of studying and lots of homework. So is the life, huh! He's had a bit of a culture shock as he was used to getting up at 7:30am or 8:00am to head into work...now he is on the train at 6:14am! Leaving our house by about 5:50am! I haven't complained...it means we head to bed at the same time as our kids...pathetic, I know! But with me getting up at 4:45am, I'm not going to complain! He seems to enjoy school so far...although not much to go on. He's found his home in the quiet libraries, found lockers, and is starting to learn the ins and outs of the UW. Here's to 2 years at UW...hopefully enjoyable!
