Christmas Cookies

Every year when I was growing up, we always spent one Saturday with my Grandma Mahlstedt baking tons of Christmas cookies.  I wanted Hallie to have that same experience with her Great-Grandma with the pink lips, as she calls her.  So for the past few years, we have gone out to Grandma's to bake cookies.  This year I called to find out when the cookie baking day was and Grandma said she wasn't planning on having one this year!  Hallie was so disappointed.  So I called Grandma and asked her if just Hallie and I could come out.  Hallie wanted to make Grandma's famous snowballs...those are Hallie's favorite!

So, Saturday Hallie and I drove out to my grandma's house for a few hours of baking cookies.  I love that Hallie has this tradition to look forward to every year!  Here's the photos!

Yummy! (I love this picture of my Grandma smiling in the background!)
