Daycare Inspection

Today was my scheduled visit from my licensor to get re-licensed for another 3 years.  I was so nervous about it.  You can prepare all you want, but you never know what wild hair they might find and what trouble they want to cause.  Turns out, I'm pretty awesome!  lol  She told me that I was 'a really great provider' and someone 'who takes all of this seriously.'  I was proud that she said that.  Doing daycare is one of those jobs that you never really know if you are doing a great job or not...I mean you get feed back from your clients and all...but it's not like you have a 'boss' looking over you.  She said typically providers have 4-8 pages of writeups they must fix...me I had only 1 page.  And on that page was stuff such as turning my water down (it read 125.1 and it has to be under 120.) and  wiping the dirt off of my sliding glass door handle.  It was nothing that was any sort of a big deal.  Which is such a relief.  And, in all honesty, I didn't spend a lot of time preparing....just a few things here and there!  I'm so glad that's over for another 3 years!
