Today was quite the day of cooking! First, it started with my mom and I making our first attempt at homemade applesauce. I got a great deal on apples at our local produce market and decided to try! Success! We got 21 quart jars and 7 pint jars!
We also tried apple pie filling....we did 7 jars of that!
DELICIOUS! The kids and us ate 1 jar of applesauce with dinner tonight! I'm calling Tacoma Boys in the morning to see if I can get another good deal!
THEN, I had a chicken I needed to cook down. We'd eaten it for dinner, but not even half. I didn't want it to go to waste so I made my first batch of homemade chicken soup. Russell decided I needed homemade noodles for my soup...so he got to work!
He made 2 batches of homemade noodles! They are hanging and ready to use tomorrow! I'll be sure to post how they turn out!
