"Sucker Treat"

Today, of course, is Halloween.  We took the kids out for about an hour around our neighborhood.  Hallie was all gung-ho...Nathan wasn't quite so sure.  That is until he got candy at a couple houses...imagine that!  Then he was running as fast as he could from house to house.  He still can't pronounce some words very well so Trick-Or-Treat came out as 'Sucker Teat'...it was pretty cute.   They came home with their buckets full...much to their Daddy's delight!

Maddie went with us...she gave us some good laughs.  After every, single house she would come down the driveway yelling "I got candy!  I got candy!"....seriously...after each house!  It was pretty cute.

Hallie decided that being a ballerina for Halloween meant she needed makeup..with mascara.  Ballerinas wear makeup.  And...apparently ballerinas also wear red nail polish.  (If you know about Russell and the red nail polish, you know what a treat that was for her!)  She loved her makeup.  As we were leaving she was concerned as to what shoes she was going to wear.  Russell told her to just put on her tennis shoes and get going.  She had a melt down.  I asked her why she was crying and she said "But those shoes aren't pretty enough."  It's begun...those girly emotions...I don't think I could have more of a girly girl if we tried!

With her makeup...notice the red nails just had to be in the picture!
