I've been following Kelly's blog at Kelly's Korner...and she does a 'Show Us Your Life' blog carnival. I decided to participate! You can click on my blog list on the right to view more.
We got married just over a year ago. We did things backwards, had kids and bought a house before tying the knot! We wanted a fun wedding that was somewhat simple too. We got married about 2 miles from our house in an old brick school house. It was nothing fancy, and the reception room was actually somewhat ugly, but I have AMAZING friends and family and they made the place BEAUTIFUL! I still think it was so pretty when it was all done. I have always loved daisies....so I used daisies and yellow roses as the main flowers. Our florist just added in what she thought would be good...and they were perfect!

My maid of honor was supposed to be my best friend, Nichole, who actually introduced my husband and I. She was going to be 30 weeks pregnant at our wedding. At 28 weeks along, she suffered from a detached placenta and went on bedrest. So 2 weeks before our wedding I was down a maid of honor. I called one of my bridesmaids and 'promoted' her! Over the year of planning our wedding I had become good friends with Ashley. I asked her 2 weeks before our wedding if she would step in and be a bridesmaid. She accepted!

Ashley and Nathan
Since we already had children, we had our daughter be our flower girl and our son was our ring bearer. He was only 11 months old...but it was perfect.
