On The Road

My Dad & Shelley were supposed to leave today for a road trip from here to South Dakota.

Hallie decided she wanted to go.

"Grandma, I want to go with you"

"Hallie, there's not enough room."

"But I can sit in the middle"

"But there is no room for your suitcase."

"We can just shove it real hard down the middle"

Shelley left yesterday and our day went on. Then about 2pm yesterday Shelley called. They decided they wanted to take Hallie with them! Kind of a huge decision for some very attached parents. We let her go of course. We sent her on her way with a cd player, ipod, coloring books, crayons, markers, and her favorite...2 packs of gum....oh and her own purse with her own money!

They will be gone for 2 weeks!!!! 2 weeks without Hallie be-bopping around the house....2 weeks without books and games at bed time...2 weeks without one of the most precious smiles in the world! We'll survive..hopefully.
