I usually dread Memorial Day weekend.
Russell goes with the boys on a 'boys only' camping trip...which means I'm home alone.
I HATE BEING HOME ALONE!!
I guess I'm just a people person...social butterfly...whatever you want to call it. I just don't like being by myself.
But this weekend I got some repreive.
Ashley, Maddie and Destiny came and they stayed Friday and Saturday night.
Saturday we borrowed my Dad's Tahoe and headed up to Olympic Game Farm in Sequim. If you haven't been there...go. This was my 3rd time up there..but Ashley and her girls had never been up there before. We fed the bears, deer, elk, zebras..and my favorite the Bison. I had my head turned looking out the passenger window, only to turn around and literally have a bison head in my lap!!! It's amazing to get that close to all these animals.
We actually saw a newborn bison...like new new...like as in less then 30 minutes old! It still couldn't walk and Mama was kicking it and putting her head under it's belly helping it stand up. It was a pretty amazing sight. I mean who can say they've seen a new newborn bison???
We headed home and stopped for some mexican food..and then went next door and let the kids run a muck in the McDonald's playland. By the time we got home it was after 9pm...so after baths and such we pretty much all crashed.
Ashley and her girls left this morning. The kids and I stayed home and I got ALL my laundry done...seriously I don't think there is a single piece of dirty laundry in this house! And...it's all put away...that's the real feat. We ran up and got a new garbage can at BB&B....stopped at Pier 1 for some thank you gifts...and I picked up a pizza at Route 66 for dinner. The kids played outside ALL day...Nathan was filthy! Tomorrow...we're sleeping in...I hope...I'll make them eggs & sausage for breakfast then after an early nap...I'm taking them swimming at the Aquatic Center...they LOVE swimming...so that will be fun. Hopefully about the time we get home Russell and the guys will be getting home too.
That's my update. :-)
