Here, the kids are on a 4-day school week. That means that they have no school every Friday. As a teacher, I get about every other Friday off. I've been trying to take advantage of those Friday's and finding something fun to do or a new place to explore on our Friday's off.
Today, we went and explored the Cascade Raptor Center. It is a rescue safe haven for a TON of birds. Although I thought it was a bit pricey for what it was, once I realized they do all the rehab and rescue out of this center, I could deal with the price to know our admission helps them rescue birds.
There are little signs in front of each bird that tells it's story, which I loved! It's fun to know the history of a bird and why it is there. Some of the birds were VERY vocal which was fun!
The kids had a great time and I'm glad we found this little place to explore! I don't have any pictures of the birds....I was preoccupied wrangling my own wildlife.
