Portland is about 2 hours away from where we live BUT Portland is where all the fun stuff is! We decided to get a membership to the Oregon Zoo. If we only go 3 times, we've gotten our money worth...but it's nice to have something free to take off and do for a day when we want. This was our first trip to the zoo since moving to Oregon.
One thing you must know...is that Hallie is SCARED to death of flying things. Birds, butterflies, bugs...you name it, if it flies Hallie doesn't like it. Normally, she won't even go into an exhibit that has birds. For some reason, today she decided she could handle it. It was really a neat experience for her and I am SO proud of her.
