Hurricane House

I remember thinking that when I was done with school life would get less crazy.  We would move to Oregon, I could work, Russell in school, and life would be less crazy.  I couldn't have been more wrong!

I am continually amazed at how stinkin busy we are!  I guess that is life with 3 kids.  It's working all day, running to pick up Emily at daycare, running home to meet Hallie & Nathan when they get off the bus, running Hallie to volleyball or Girl Scouts and Nathan to basketball...then add in doctor's appointments, vet appointments, Russell gone late studying or attending a tutoring session....we are on the go all the time!

So much for thinking life would get less crazy.

My house is a mess...like a hurricane hit it.  I should have taken a picture.  Tonight is cleaning day....and I keep reminding myself of a needlework pictures that hung in the hall when I was growing up..and it hangs in my hall today....

There will be time
For cleaning and cooking
For children grow up
While we're not looking

That couldn't be more true.  (But the mess still drives me crazy!)  :-)

I currently live by the poem in my kitchen:

Thank God for dirty dishes
For they have a tale to tell
While other folks go hungry
We're eating very well.

With home and health and happiness
We shouldn't make a fuss
By this stack of evidence
God's very good to us.

Yup...that explains the dishes in my sink!  :-)

Now...would God please send me a fairy godmother?  or a clone?

In all seriousness...adjusting to being a working outside the home mom and a student dad family is a rough transition...we are getting there...just the chores are the last thing to fall into our schedule...we're getting there!
