The Oregon State Fair....

Is certainly no Washington State Fair!  (That is what the Puyallup is called now, right?)

We decided to surprise the kids and take them to the fair in Salem...it's a good hour drive...but we thought they would have fun!

We learned that as locals to the Puyallup Fair...we are so, so, so spoiled!  The Oregon State Fair cannot compare!  They had a few animals...and a small building of gimmicky stuff to buy.  That is my favorite part...seeing what new contraption I get suckered into buying!  Russell's favorite part is the famous Earthquake Burger...and of course the scones...the Oregon fair didn't have either.  Although..they did have bacon wrapped corn dogs....yup they looked amazing.  We didn't try one...they were $9!!!!

 The kids had a blast...and that's what counts!  They got some pretty cool glittery tattoos that last up to a week!  Nathan's is Batman and Hallie's is flowers and butterflies.

Nathan got called up on stage to be part of a magician's act....that was pretty cool!
