Moving Time

It's all kind of surreal really.  We have planned for this time in our lives for the past several years.  It's one thing to talk about it..it always seems so far away.  It's another for it to actually be here!  It's exciting and scary all at the same time!

We've been moving a bit at a time thanks to my father-in-law.  He has urged us to have everything 'packed and staged' so that he can load it in the truck and trailer and move it for us.  He has been a lifesaver.  At first it was so daunting to think of packing everything up and him moving it...now I am so thankful!

Most of our stuff is down in Oregon already.  We spent the weekend down there unpacking boxes and trying to get organized.  I must say, organizing a new kitchen is hard!  It's easy to see while we've unpacked just how much stuff we've gotten rid of!  That feels nice to lighten our load a bit!  Not only have we lived in this house for 8 years, but we have gathered so much stuff with having the daycare.  I'm sure I kept way more toys then my kids needed...but that's okay.

Now this weekend is our big yard sale.  BIG.  I'm looking forward to clearing out all that stuff.  It's kind of like our last big thing before we move.  12 days and counting.
