Our Winter Wonderland

In this part of the country, we really don't get a winter...well a winter like everyone thinks.  You know....snow...snow...snowmen...icy streets...snow plows...we just rarely get that.  If we have an accumulation of snow twice a year everyone is talking about it!  And at that, we usually never see snowflakes until end of December but more like January.  Seattle's coldest week of the year is normally the last week of January.

There has been a lot of speculation that we are going to have a really bad winter.  I'm no meterologist, but I'd say that's no longer speculation.  This week schools have been closed, business have been closed, even our freeways got shut down...this is snow like we just don't get.

But, the kids won't complain!  We went from barely an inch at 3pm on Monday to a full 5 or 6 inches by 7pm Monday night!  Crazy snow!  And it has stuck around...not that it could go anywhere when our HIGH of the day has been 15 degrees!

Oh yes...in my fine style I was in the snow in flip flops!
