A House Full of Students

Well, I'm complicating our life slightly.

I decided to investigate and I'm heading back to school.  I know, I'm nuts....actually I think I'm insane!  TWO full time students in the same house!  We've gotta be crazy!

But, here's the deal.  I had a local university call me and ask if I was still interested.  So I said I was.  Got all the information refreshed and decided to go for it.  So, I'm in the process of taking a couple classes to have all my pre-requisite classes done....and in July of 2011 I'll start an Elementary Education program.  I'm actually really excited! 

Russell starts at UW in January to get his BS in Biology.  So, if all goes as planned, he will graduate in June of 2013 with his BS and I will graduate in June of 2013 with my BA in Elementary Ed.  Now I just have to hope that we don't graduate the SAME DAY!

Me, well obviously I will teach.  I'm getting an endorsement in Math.  Do I want to teach math? No.  But, it gives me a huge up on other people.  Math teachers are needed everywhere and it would be a good foot in the door.  I'll be certified to teach K-8.  I'm hoping for 4th or 5th grade.

Plus, another point is that I don't want to do daycare forever!  And, with Russell heading to medical school in our future, I know that no matter where we may move I can get a job as a teacher.  So that's a HUGE plus!

So, in the future, look for lots of updates on classes, grades and eventually graduations!

Summer Quarter Russell was taking Chemistry 121, Pre Calculus, and Microbiology...and he got ALL 4.0's!!!!
