A Surprise Mommy & Hallie night

The plan all week has been for me and Hallie to go out on Friday night and get our nails done along with finding me a shirt for our family pictures.

On Friday afternoon Hallie said, "Mom, is tonight when we get to get our nails done?"  Yes, I told her.  "Mom, do we get to go out to dinner just us too?"  I told her no, we were having meatloaf.

Russell got home and I told him about Hallie's and my conversation and he told me to take her and go.  So, rather quickly, we got stuff together and headed out.

We stopped at Old Navy, then off to get our nails done.  I was told we needed to have matching colors...so we do.  Hot pink was the color of the night! lol

I asked her where she wanted to go to dinner..and of course she said her favorite..Red Robin.  At Red Robin I told her I was going to surprise her and take her to see a movie.

The old Gateway Theater in Federal Way is now a $2 Theater.  So that's where I take her.  I just can't pay $9 for a 4 year old to see a movie!  But, Gateway was showing UP...and she really wanted to see that.

Up was a great movie!  I really enjoyed it and so did she.  A lot of the story line probably would go over the kids head...but made it really good for adults...I reccommend it!

We had a great Hallie and Mommy night...I love those times when we escape, just us!
