The Kids and I

With the craziness of that past week, I felt like I hadn't had any time with just my kids. Maybe that sounds not too nice...but I was really wanting some quality time with Hallie & Nathan.

So, Saturday Russell had planned a long time ago to go up and help Sean build his shed. Off Russell went. The kids and I stayed home for a day of just us.

I took the kids to the Tacoma Children's Muesum. They had a blast....I thought it was too expensive for what you actually get. Luckily, I had a free pass. The one in Seattle is worth every penny...but this one...not so much.

The kids got to paint and play in the 'Farmer's Market' exhibit. They played for hours...literally. After we left the muesum, I let Hallie pick what she wanted for lunch. She wanted Dairy Queen because then she would get ice cream...that kid has a memory like nothing else! I took them to DQ and then took lunch back to Russell's parent's house. They hadn't seen them in a week or so with all the commotion, so it was nice to visit.

Then home we went.

I just really enjoyed the time with just my kids.

Here they are painting.....

Picking apples...

Planting and picking carrots....

Coloring with window markers...those were a hit!

Serving food from the market deli....

And their favorite...playing with the cash registers!
