It's A Boy!!!!!

Sean and Sandra fell in love with Lucy when Russell had her up at their house with him. After Lucy visited, S & S decided they wanted a dog. A lab like dog, like Lucy. I was on the hunt.

I've been keeping my eyes out..searching craigslist and such looking for a dog for them.

Yesterday on CL a lady had a chocolate lab listed for free near my house. I just KNEW Sean & Sandra would want this beautiful dog. I called and asked the lady a few questions and she said "Where do you live? I will bring the dog to you?" Ahh..ok...this was sudden. I hadn't even gotten ahold of Sean yet. But figured..oh well.

Here's the story: This little pup wandered onto these people's very rural property about 3 weeks ago. He was super skinny...all skin and bones. But, he had a harness on, so obviously he was someone's pet. The lady that found him has been trying for 3 weeks to find his owners, with no luck. And she just couldn't keep him.

So, I pick up this puppy...which we think is about 4 months old...having still not heard from Sean & Sandra. He's on my lap about 2 minutes and I look at Russell and say "I want to keep him." Russell was laughing!

Finally, we get home an about an hour later Sean calls. One issue: they found a dog and adopted it. Hmmmm....what shall I do with this puppy?

I guess I'll have to keep him! (I've been telling Russell I wanted dog #2 for a while...I just didn't plan on it actually happening!)

So...we now have a beautiful, bouncy, baby boy....puppy! We weighed him last night and he's 30 pounds..Lucy is 42. They already are best friends.

We named him Charlie....as in the Lucy & Charlie from the Charlie Brown comics.
