Kid Stuff

I took Hallie this afternoon to Yuen Lui to have her 4 year old pictures taken. They turned out beautiful! I love Yuen lui...they always do an incredible job. I think these might be some of the best pictures we've ever had taken. I'm ordering the CD with the photos..so as soon as we get it I will be sure to post them.

Nathan had is 18 month checkup yesterday. He's still weighing in at 32.6 pounds..which is WAY off the charts...they just tell me he's 'above the 95th percentile.' Although..Nathan hasn't been on the charts since birth..he's just tall. He is still 36" tall..which again is WAY off the charts for his age. Although...my big boy has always had a tiny head by comparison. Like..at his 12 month appointment he was off the charts for height and weight but only in the 10th percentile for his head circumfrence...granted the difference between 10th and 100th was only 1/2 an inch! But....this time...his head is in the 65th percentile!...and believe it or not...in the last 3 months he's only gained 1 pound and not grown an inch! I'm sure he'll hit some crazy growth spurt here soon.

It was kinda funny what he did with his nurse. At his 12 month checkup he got 4 shots. Yesterday the nurse came out to the waiting room and called his name and he looked at her and YELLED...NO! So I drug him back to his room..and he freaked out. He wouldn't let that nurse anywhere near him...if she looked at him he gripped me with white knuckles...so instead of the nurse weighing him and measuring him...I did it. He wouldn't even look at the nurse. We were laughing just because I'd never seen him act that way before. Dr. McDonald came in and did her check up...he wasn't too sure of her..until she gave him a sucker...then he was good to go! The doc and I are hoping he will remember the sucker and not the shots for next time...we'll see!
