The 'boys' on the hunt for the perfect tree.
Our TreeThis weekend we took the kids out to the local Red Barn Tree Farm and went on the hunt for our Christmas tree. Of course, we waited until the day it was FREEZING cold and raining! I put the kabosh this year on Russell's 12' tree...12' tall and about 7' wide is what we had last year....it's just too much with the kids running around!

We got the kids cocoa since it was so cold.
They loved it!
So we found our perfect, 6' tall, Christmas tree. It's currently sitting in the living room, undecorated...but it's at least in the house..that's progress. We'll decorate it tonight. Although, this year I'm pretty sure our tree will have only lights. You see, I had Nathan in Home Depot with me. He LOVES the Christmas stuff so I was walking him through the decorations. Everytime he saw ornaments he got all excited and yelled 'ball.' You see my dilema....he loves throwing things right now...and I imagine all my ornaments thrown all over and broken...so this year I'm leaning towards lights only!
Nathan found his 'Nate sized' tree!Friday I lost another daycare kiddo....which really sucks. Thank goodness Russell's job is safe...but we are sure feeling the brunt of the layoffs...that puts me down 2 kiddos!...which REALLY sucks especially before Christmas. But, we'll figure it out...we always do.
