So, lately I've been getting the feeling that Hallie was getting sick and tired of sharing her Mommy with the daycare kids. So I planned a special Mommy & Hallie day. Hallie & I had been talking about it and planning it. And, she had her own input...we had to go to the library and we had to have lunch at a McDonald's that had a play thing.
And I must say...our first special Mommy & Hallie Day....was awesome!....a day I will remember.
Hallie was on her best behavior and an absolute joy!
We started the day off with her favorite...hot chocolate.
Then we went to a local craft fair, where I had been told we were looking for jewelery because Hallie 'needed' some. We found a little booth that had bracelets for her and tons of hair bows...which were adorable and only $1. So I let her pick out a bunch. She was so cute...every 20 feet or so we had to stop and change out the hair pretty so she could see what the other ones looked like. (Like she could see the back of her head....but I fell for it.) She was so much fun to watch...she walked up to each booth and looked at everything. Then she realized that most of the booths had candy dishes...she was on a mission. She scoped out every booth for candy and would politely ask 'may I please have a piece of candy?' And of course, every booth said yes! Then she looked for samples of lotions at any makeup booths...like Mary Kay, Avon, and even Party Lite had lotion. And she'd sample it all...my daughter smelled like quite the boquet! But...she LOVED it. We got her a couple bracelets...then she saw that Sharon had 4 bracelets on 1 wrist...and then Hallie decided she needed 4 bracelets on 1 wrist just like Sharon...so of course she did. She was so cute.
After that, we headed to McDonald's and she ate her happy meal and played for probably about 45 minutes. She was having a blast!
Off to the library where she picked out about 10 books to read...and I was told I was reading them all to her when we got home...which I did.
Then we went down to the Supermall to find Nathan some more of his favorite blankets...I'm tired of washing them! And she was awesome. She rode in her stroller like a champ...and looked all around with me. She got so excited when she found one of the blankets we had been hunting for!
Then home we went.....where Daddy had made brownies...and she got to watch a movie in our room!
She was so excited to tell Dad about all the treats she'd gotten that day. I love that my daughter thinks of the library as a treat...she was so thrilled she wouldn't stop talking about it! I really enjoyed my day..just me and Hallie. And....I'm pretty sure she did too. I'm looking forward to our next special Mommy & Hallie day.
